This video is a time lapse spanning 5 hours of emergency treatment for a 4 year old Standard Poodle in "Addisonian Crisis." Addison's disease can strike young, healthy, pets. If it is not diagnosed in the early stages, it can culminate in a life-threatening emergency or crisis, which is what you see here. Addison's disease is treatable, and patients that receive appropriate medical care can have a good outcome and lead an excellent life. Addison's disease is a great reminder of why it is important 1) to have good medical insurance, and 2) to get medical attention right away if you are worried or concerned about your pet (please do not wait too long!).
