    Wanting to downsize or refresh your wardrobe? Bring by any of your previously loved clothing, outdoor apparel, shoes, and/or accessories and SWAP them for something fresh. Please make sure your donations are in good condition, washed and ready for a new home.

     


    REPAIR STATION:
    Bring items that need a quick mend to the talented Alterations Specialists at the Repair Station.

    First come first serve and by donation.

     


    VOLUNTEER:
    If you would like to volunteer email info@awarewhistler.org Available volunteer positions include, but are not limited to:

    Postering, equipment collection, set-up & tear-down, event promotion and poster distribution, talented alterations specialists to help at repair stations

    Unswapped clothing will be donated to Dress for Success, a charity empowering women into the workforce, and the Whistler Re-Use-It Centre, a social enterprise fueling Whistler’s social programs and diverting tonnes of waste from the landfill annually.

    Seeking skilled volunteer fixers! Email info@awarewhistler.org to sign-up if you have a skill, craft or trade to help your fellow community members.

    The Repair Cafe is the second of four workshops in AWARE's Zero Waste Living Workshop Series, made possible thanks to funding from the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Community Enrichment Program.

    In this event, we’ll provide tools, materials and skilled volunteers to help you repair your – lamp, bike, jewellery, sweaters and more.

    The Pemberton Museum is hosting their annual Halloween event for children under 12! Come by on Saturday, October 27 between 12:00 and 3:00 pm for hot dogs, hot cocoa, and marshmallows. We will have our Spooky School House, Scary Shopkeeper, and a Freaky Scavenger Hunt. Bring your already-carved Jack-o-Lantern to the judges to see if yours is the spookiest of them all! Prizes for the best costume (per age group) will be handed out after the judging of the pumpkin carving at 2:30.
