Photos and Styling for Artisans

Led by acclaimed local photographer and product stylist Anastasia Chomlack, this workshop is for artisans and makers who want to learn to tell their story and share their product through photography.

A picture is worth a thousand words. For vendors, artisans, and makers alike an aesthetically pleasing image of your product it is extremely important to the success of your business. A great image can be used to market your product range on social media or to showcase your wares when applying to markets such as, the Arts Whistler Holiday Market, Refresh Market or Make It. Learn how to capture the authenticity of your brand and the techniques of styling products. Participants will be inspired to see their products with “new eyes” as they design their photo shoot with personal products.

Participants are encouraged to bring some product and a smartphone or camera to the workshop.

INSTRUCTOR: Anastasia Chomlak

I am in that place in my life where what inspires me the most is to connect with like-minded creatives and entrepreneurs and share everything I have learned over the last ten years. (Hopefully around a table with yummy green drinks, steaming cups of tea or hand-crafted cocktails in hand…depending on the time of day, of course.)

I want to be the person I wish I had back when I was growing my career. To you.

Collaborating, sharing, networking and bringing people together is my favourite thing in the world. Actually, I believe this is my life’s true purpose.

If you are a creative entrepreneur who wants to move forward fearlessly and generously with your art and with your business then this workshop is for you.

I find it completely humbling that I get to photograph everyday moments and life-changing occasions as a career. Capturing people’s love and joy is an honor. I hope that what you see in my photos is something fresh and fun – a more intimate and authentic portrayal of life than the typical studio photo. I hope you see a passion for life and an attention to the little things that makes all the difference.
